Authentic Moxibustion Journey: How Natural Marketing Built My Loyal Customer Army

The words I read this morning hit close to home: “What’s not meant for you slips through your fingers no matter how tightly you hold on; what’s destined for you finds its way back even if you miss it…” How true! While many friends and relatives try to help by pushing sales tactics, I always say: “Marketing isn’t my strength. Those who need my products will come naturally.”

Truth is, I’ve never enjoyed hard selling. What excites me is sharing authentic moxibustion experiences. When describing my personal healing journey, my eyes light up and I gesticulate excitedly, often forgetting to wipe the enthusiastic drool at the corner of my mouth!

You might wonder: Do I not want to sell my products? Absolutely not! But with new products entering the market, I take extra care. First-time customers always get this advice: “Start with small purchases. If it works, come back. If not, you’re only risking a few dollars.” For friends? I simply give free samples.

Rather than a salesperson, I see myself as a product researcher:
• Taking comparison photos of moxa sticks
• Writing identification guides
• Documenting factory processes on my blog
• Teaching customers to distinguish quality moxa wool
• Creating customized therapy plans by compiling medical resources

I aim to be the “customers’ voice” – preparing whatever my clients need.

This genuine approach resonates. In today’s chaotic moxibustion market where few manufacturers:
• Use aged mugwort leaves
• Actually use their own products daily
• Demand distributors avoid mixing inferior brands

Quality speaks for itself. As I learned from an Alibaba operations course – this is “Buddha-style marketing”!

Though I don’t actively promote, I’ve got a loyal “word-of-mouth army”:
• Neighbors bring new clients for home trials
• Enthusiastic customers recruit more users
• One friend urgently demands: “Restock now! My clients are lining up!”
• Organic promotions appear on Baidu forums
• Some even mistakenly report we’re franchising (Note: Not true!)

My proudest moment? A Beijing expert client who specifically requests moxa wool made from Suizhou local mugwort. Earning professionals’ trust feels more rewarding than profits!

Gratitude requires action:
• September: Doubled prizes for loyal supporters in writing contests
• November: Donated 2 cases to non-profits
• Year-end: Sending another case to temples (last donation got snatched by monks!)

Surrounded by this warmth, I’m determined to keep paying kindness forward. As the saying goes: “Focus on being good. What’s meant for you will come.”
